The technology used on the hardcoat DuoSharp stones is the same used on the DiaFlat flattening plates, which were created to resist the abrasion of flattening water stones. If you own ceramic knives, and have been looking for a solution for keeping them sharp – look no further. That said, this is a specialty stone, and if you primarily sharpen steel tools – even exotic alloys or carbide – we recommend you go with a standard Duosharp or DiaSharp stone as the added cost is of limited benefit.
The Fine/Extra Fine grit stone will put a sharp edge back on kitchen knives, and comes with a DuoBase for stable, skid-free sharpening. The diamond surface measures 8 1/16″ by 2 5/8″
